Managing Life’s Details was born out of a desire to provide sensible solutions for the management of the “minutiae” of life: things that must be done to make room for the things we’d like to do. In working with clients, Jean's goal is to remove the stress and anxiety for both the near and long term. When feeling a sense of control, competence and confidence working together, the quality of life improves as the client becomes more peaceful, content and happier.
Throughout her career in financial services and human resources, Jean has navigated complex situations, providing order and clarity. After retiring in 2016, Jean turned her sights to her community to again provide answers to a myriad of issues facing individuals and families.
Jean most recently worked as a financial advisor in Atlanta and Amelia Island. With her brother and partner, they managed over $150 million in assets and provided customized financial planning services for each individual client. She co-taught a highly regarded retirement planning course at the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech attended by more than 500 attendees over 17 years.
Earlier in her career, Jean worked as a senior Human Resource Executive for 23 years. During this time, she and her partner provided training and management development to corporate and non-profit entities through their own company.
Developing expertise and experience in these two fields uniquely positions Jean to provide solutions to day-to-day problems for families and individuals. Her empathetic style and ability to both listen and ask the right questions help provide the confidence and stability that clients are looking for in a partnership. She has developed a vast network of resources having lived in Amelia for 14 years. Jean has strong organizational skills and is not afraid to approach sensitive or complex situations.
As a financial consultant, I understand confidentiality and the importance of building trust. I take care of client families just as if they were my own family, all while drawing on my professional experience.
I am a member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers (AADMM) and have completed their extensive mandatory background check.
During our initial meetings, we will develop an approach and a plan. Depending on your needs, we can set an hourly rate or an ongoing retainer.
We start with an initial meeting to determine needs. If we decide to move forward, we will prioritize the issues that need to be addressed. Then, we will conduct a comprehensive financial review. Using this input, we will design a flexible plan with short and long-term elements. To implement, we leverage our strong network of expert resources as needed.
